Rep. Grant Wehrli to Partner with Naperville Police Department for FREE Child I.D. Event

State Representative Grant Wehrli (R-Naperville) is offering families from the 41st District (Naperville, Warrenville) an opportunity to obtain free identification cards for their children.

The event will be held on August 20 at Rep. Wehrli’s Naperville office, located at 55 S. Main Street, #383. This event is limited to 90 children and is scheduled by appointment only so that proper social distancing can be maintained. Parents/guardians will leave with an I.D. that includes a photo, fingerprints and personal information about each child. Information collected is for parent/guardian use only; police do not keep a copy.

“Typically this is the time of year when I host my Children’s Health & Wellness Fair, but we had to cancel that event due to COVID-19,” said Wehrli. “This Child I.D. event is a safe and creative way to offer an important community service for families while adhering to best practices for preventing the spread of the coronavirus.”

Only one family will be permitted in the office at a time, and masks are required. Families can reserve spots between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM by calling the office at (630) 696-4160 or by emailing the office at
