Residents of Naperville and Warrenville are invited to attend an open topics Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, April 24 hosted by State Representative Grant Wehrli (R-Naperville). The meeting will be held at the Naperville Municipal Building, located at 400 South Eagle Street.
The event will take place from 7:00 – 8:30 PM in the Naperville City Council Chambers, and will feature a short Springfield update by Wehrli, followed by a question and answer session with audience members.
“Most of this meeting will be dedicated to answering questions and seeking input on legislative issues,” said Wehrli. “Public participation is important, and it is a tremendous help as I work on behalf of the citizens of the 41st Legislative District in Springfield. As we enter the final month of the spring session, several key issues still remain, including the graduated income tax, the legalization of recreational marijuana, a capital bill, a gaming and/or sports betting bill and the budget.”
Wehrli said the audience will determine the flow of the public meeting. “The items we discuss will be driven by the audience,” added Wehrli. “I invite all residents who live in the 41st District to bring their questions, suggestions and concerns to this open topics town hall.”
The April 24 event is the second town hall hosted by Wehrli during the month of April. On April 13, he co-hosted an Environmental Town Hall Meeting at North Central College.
